This Privacy Policy explains how NinePlay ("NinePlay," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the NinePlay mobile application, the website at nineplay.win, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Summary. NinePlay is a local-first multi-video player. We do not require an account, and we do not upload the videos you select to our servers. Saved sessions and preferences are stored on your device. NinePlay uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage measurement and reliability. In-app purchases are processed by your app store. NinePlay may display advertising in the future; this policy explains the information an advertising SDK may process if advertising is enabled.
1. Information we process
Videos and media information
When you choose a video, NinePlay may access the selected file and related information such as its file name, local path or content URI, media-library identifier, duration, dimensions, codec, frame rate, and other technical properties needed to display and control playback. The app may decode frames locally to create previews, blurred backgrounds, thumbnails, or compare images.
This processing happens on your device. NinePlay does not send your selected videos, their audio, decoded frames, or local file paths to our servers.
Device permissions
NinePlay may ask for access to your photo library, videos, or media storage so you can select and play files. Depending on your device and operating-system version, you may be able to grant access only to the videos you choose. You can grant, limit, or revoke permission in your device settings. Some playback and library features will not work without the required access.
Saved sessions and preferences
If you save a playback session, NinePlay stores information on your device such as the session name, grid layout, selected-video identifiers, file names or titles, local file paths or URIs, durations, and the date the session was updated. Language and other app preferences may also be stored locally. This information is not synced to a NinePlay account or uploaded to our servers.
Exports and sharing
If you export or share a compare image, clip, diagnostic file, or other output, the file is saved or transferred according to the action and destination you choose. Third-party apps and services you choose for sharing handle that content under their own privacy policies.
Analytics and crash diagnostics
NinePlay uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These services may process app-instance or installation identifiers, device model and hardware information, operating-system and app versions, language and region, approximate location inferred from IP address, app launches, screen views, feature interactions, session information, crash timestamps, stack traces, device state, and related performance and diagnostic data.
We use this information to understand how the Service is used, diagnose crashes, measure reliability, and improve performance. We do not intentionally send selected videos, audio, decoded frames, video file names, or local file paths to Firebase. Google processes Firebase data under its own terms and privacy documentation.
Purchases
NinePlay offers an optional one-time Pro lifetime unlock through in-app purchase. Payments are processed by the store through which you obtained the app, such as Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store and any purchase-validation provider we use may process your purchase history, transaction status, store-account or anonymous app-user identifier, device and operating-system information, IP address, and fraud-prevention signals to complete, validate, and restore purchases.
We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or bank-account details. Those details are handled by the app store and its payment processors.
Support communications
If you contact us, we may receive your email address, message, and the app version and device platform included in your support request. We use this information to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send private videos or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
Advertising, if enabled
NinePlay may display advertising in future versions. If advertising is enabled, an advertising SDK may process device and app identifiers, advertising identifiers where available, IP address, device model, operating-system and app versions, language, region, consent choices, ad impressions, clicks, frequency information, and fraud-prevention signals. Depending on your consent and device settings, this data may be used to select, deliver, limit, measure, or personalize ads.
We will not intentionally provide your selected videos, audio, decoded frames, video file names, or local file paths to advertising providers. Before enabling an advertising provider, we will update applicable app store disclosures and provide consent or opt-out controls where required by law.
Website and hosting information
When you visit nineplay.win, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may process standard request and security information such as your IP address, browser and device type, user agent, requested URL, access time, referring page, and security signals. This site does not include account sign-in, contact forms, advertising, or analytics scripts. We use hosting information to deliver and protect the site and prevent abuse.
2. Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create a NinePlay account.
- We do not upload your selected videos or audio to our servers.
- We do not upload locally saved session details to our servers.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- We do not use your videos to train artificial-intelligence models.
- We do not intentionally provide video content or local video paths to analytics, crash-reporting, billing, or advertising providers.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide multi-video playback, comparison, and local session features.
- Let you select, preview, control, save, export, or share content.
- Measure feature use, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support messages and requests.
- Process, validate, and restore the Pro lifetime unlock.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Deliver and measure ads, manage consent, limit ad frequency, and prevent advertising fraud if advertising is enabled.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include:
- Contractual necessity, when processing is needed to provide features you request or complete a purchase.
- Consent, when you grant media permissions, send a support request, allow analytics where consent is required, or agree to advertising or tracking.
- Legitimate interests, such as securing the Service, responding to support, preventing fraud, and improving reliability, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations, when processing or disclosure is required by applicable law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose limited information in these circumstances:
- Analytics and diagnostics. Google processes analytics and crash information through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
- App stores and billing providers. Apple, Google, and any purchase-validation provider we use process purchase and device information needed to complete and restore transactions.
- Advertising providers. If advertising is enabled, advertising partners may process app, device, consent, ad-event, and fraud-prevention information for the purposes described above.
- Hosting and operations. Cloudflare and providers that support email or other operations may process information necessary to provide and secure those services.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the Service.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
We require service providers acting on our behalf to protect personal information consistently with this policy and applicable law.
6. Data retention
Selected videos are processed locally and are not retained by us on our servers. Saved sessions and preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.
Support messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Firebase, app stores, billing providers, advertising providers, and Cloudflare retain information according to their own documented retention schedules and our applicable settings. We retain information under our control only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You can manage video and photo-library permissions in device settings. You can delete saved sessions inside NinePlay, delete exported files, clear local app data where your platform allows it, or uninstall the app. You can manage or restore purchases through the applicable app store.
If advertising is enabled, you may be able to manage consent in the app, limit personalized ads, reset or restrict use of your advertising identifier, or manage tracking permission in device settings. You may also contact us to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal information under our control, and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority. Because NinePlay has no account and does not receive your local videos or sessions, we may not have data that can be linked to you. We may need to verify a request before responding.
To make a privacy request, email w7sealstudio@gmail.com.
8. California and other U.S. state notices
We do not sell personal information for money. If interest-based advertising is enabled, disclosures of identifiers and activity data to advertising providers may be considered "sharing," "targeted advertising," or a "sale" under some U.S. state laws. Where required, we will provide a way to opt out and will honor applicable privacy rights. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16 for targeted advertising.
9. Children's privacy
NinePlay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Data-protection laws in those countries may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-party policies
Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Relevant providers may include Google Firebase, Google Play, the Apple App Store, Cloudflare, a purchase-validation provider, and an advertising provider if one is enabled. Their privacy practices are not controlled by NinePlay.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice where required. We will update this policy before materially changing how we collect, use, or share information, including before enabling a new advertising or billing provider.
